IS THE OMEGA PURE PLUS FREE FROM CONTAMINANTS?
Yes, for all practical intents and purposes. It is not possible, nor necessary, to have a product that absolutely and completely free of any contaminants. No matter how much purification is done, trace amounts can always be found.
The common and most concerning heavy metal in seafood has been found to be mercury. Omega Pure PLUS is as purified as it gets with respect to mercury, and is tested to contain a maximum of 0.005 parts per million (ppm). In other words, it is at least 99.9999999999% free of mercury. This level is thousands times lower than a typical can of tuna fish, and well below the accepted safety level which the FDA specifies is 1 ppm.
